DFT 121 - Commercial Architecture 5 Credits Students are instructed in architectural drafting including drafting techniques, floor, framing and site plans, elevations, sections, basic mechanical (electrical), schedules and specifications, and building codes. Corequisite(s): DFT 117
Course Outcomes
- Identify and describe standard layouts of foundation, floor, roof, elevation and related details drawings to current industry standards.
- Identify and utilize structural components used in commercial construction.
- Recognize and explain the use of common commercial construction materials and methods.
- Discuss the use and application of building codes.
