CONST 250 - Project Safety and Accident Prevention 4 Credits Learn to implement company safety plans and procedures. Topics covered include identifying and minimizing job hazards, complying with WISHA and OSHA requirements, and understanding and developing a safety communications plan in addressing the risk of unsafe conditions on a construction jobsite. Students have the option to earn the OSHA 30 card in this course.
Course Outcomes
- Identify hazards common to construction job sites.
- Identify basic abatement techniques and procedures.
- Explain the “Hierarchy of Controls” for hazard mitigation.
- Complete the requirements to obtain an Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) 30 Hour (Construction) Certificate/Card.
